This policy gives you a fixed amount when you’re hospitalized due to Covid-19 for at least 72 hours.

What Add-ons can I take?

Zuno Marine Insurance

Hospital Daily Cash – You will get 0.5% of your Sum Insured per day for every 24 hours of continuous hospitalization, for a maximum period of 15 days. This Add-on can be taken with the Corona Kavach Plan.

What is covered by Covid insurance

What kind of Sum Insured can I choose?

The minimum sum insured available is Rs 50,000. For Corona Kavach, our sum insured goes up to Rs 5,00,000. For Corona Rakshak, it goes up to IN 2,50,000.

What is the age limit for Corona Kavach?

To buy this policy, the Principal Insured needs to be between 18 and 65 years of age. 

How many people can I cover under the Corona Kavach policy?

You can choose to cover just an individual, or your entire family under a floater policy. We'll cover you and your spouse as well as dependent parents, parents-in-law and children.

Are there any discounts available on the Corona Kavach policy?

Absolutely. Here's a look at the discounts we offer under Corona Kavach:
• Family Discount - 5% discount on the total premium if two or more family members are covered by the same policy under the individual policy option.

• Edelweiss Group Employee Discount - 5% discount if you're an employee of the Edelweiss Group.

Will I need to complete a medical test for Covid Insurance?

In most cases, we won't need you to undergo any kind of test. But, we'll take a final call based on your age and medical history. If required, we'll inform you about what we need and reach out to our pre-policy check-up TPA.

Is there any waiting period for the Corona Kavach policy?

Every health insurance policy has a waiting period, during which certain claims are not accepted. Claims that are made during the first 15 days from the start date will not be approved

How long is my Corona Kavach policy valid for?

You can choose how long you would like your policy to be valid for. The options available, including the waiting period, are:
• Three and a half months, or 105 days
• Six and a half months, or 195 days
• Nine and a half months, or 285 days

What happens if I lose my Corona Kavach policy documents?

Once you make the payment, you'll get a soft copy sent straight to your e-mail. So, even if you do lose your physical copy, you'll have one waiting in your inbox, but we understand that your e-mail may get deleted, too. If you need another hard or soft copy, you can get in touch with us and we'll send one across ASAP.

How do I take cashless treatment under my Covid-19 policy?

Whether you've booked your appointment in advance, or need to rush to the hospital in an emergency, simply contact the TPA desk at the network hospital and show them your health card - or your policy copy - to get cashless services

What documents do I need to attach with my hospital claim request for covid insurance?

•You will need to attach the following documents with the filled up and signed Claim Form:
• Photo ID proof of the insured individual, preferably copies of their passport
• Medical practitioner's prescription advising admission in a hospital

•Original bills with an itemised breakup of costs and payment receipts
• Investigation reports from an authorised Covid-19 testing centre
• Your NEFT details along with a cancelled cheque, so that we can directly credit the claim amount to your bank account
• If the claim amount is over Rs 1,00,000/-, we also need the KYC details of the proposer as per the AML guidelines
• A legal heir/succession certificate, wherever applicable

What are the modes of claim settlement available on Group Corona Kavach?

Both Cashless and Reimbursement facilities are available if you need to claim.

What is the minimum and maximum entry age group for corona kavach policy?

Minimum Age of Proposer should be 18 years whereas Maximum shall be 90 Years. 

What does Group Corona Kavach cover?

This product covers medical expenses for hospitalization of the Insured Person during the Policy period, for the treatment of Covid-19 after positive diagnosis from a Government authorized diagnostic centre. It also covers the expenses of treatment of any comorbidity up to the Sum Insured specified in the policy schedule.

What is covered under the Pre-hospitalization benefit for the Group Corona Kavach policy?

Under this cover, we will pay for the pre-hospitalization/home care treatment expenses, for a fixed period of 15 days before the date of admissible hospitalization covered under the policy

What is covered under the Post-hospitalization benefit for the Group Corona Kavach policy?

Under this cover, we will pay for the post-hospitalization/home care treatment expenses, for a fixed period of 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital, following an admissible hospitalization covered under the policy

What’s the Sum Insured available under the Group Corona Kavach policy?

Rs 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand) to Rs 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh) (in the multiples of fifty thousand) 
On Individual basis: The Sum Insured applies to each individual family member 
On Floater basis: the Sum Insured applies to the entire family
